I am currently interested in the relationship between Religion and Technology and the Future of Religion. As technology advances, it is informed by religious values and concerns and it influences the way humans interact in religious institutions and their conceptions of spirituality. I run a research group each semester of students who are engaged in working on these problems with me. We are working on issues like artificial intelligence, virtual reality and the future of religion. The research group is open to majors and minors in Religious Studies. If you would like to be a part of it please contact me at reedrw@appstate.edu
