Edward Falls

Biography

Edward Falls completed a Ph.D. in Philosophy (University of Tennessee) in 2021, as well as a Ph.D. in Religion (Emory University) in 2010. The focus of the religion research was, specifically, Je Tsongkhapa’s conception of rationality. Tsongkhapa is an important figure in the tradition of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. The more recent thesis in philosophy is concerned with metaethics, specifically ethical naturalism, and, more specifically, the work of the philosopher John McDowell. Falls’ published research focuses on mereology and metaphysics, both in contemporary Western philosophy and in Tibetan and Buddhist philosophical sources.
