Biography
Edward Falls completed a PhD in Philosophy (University of Tennessee) in 2021 as well as a PhD in Religion (Emory University) in 2010. The focus of the religion research was, specifically, Je Tsongkhapa’s conception of rationality. Tsongkhapa is an important figure in the tradition of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. The more recent thesis in philosophy is concerned with metaethics, specifically ethical naturalism, and, more specifically, the work of the philosopher John McDowell. Falls’ published research focuses on mereology and metaphysics, both in contemporary Western philosophy and in Tibetan and Buddhist philosophical sources.
